Cartoon of the Month: March 2024

This drawing was inspired by the work of Swedish photographer Anders Petersen.  His book Café Lehmitz (documenting the regulars at  a bar in Hamburg, Germany) is neck in neck with Diane Arbus: An Aperture Monograph as an all time favorite for me!  You might also recognize his work from the cover of Tom Waits 1985 classic Rain Dogs.

Of course, my take came out looking sort of like a goofy version of Conrad Veidt in "He Who Laughs" because I watched too many horror movies as a kid.
